First Look At San Sebastian Competition Pic – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Here’s your first look at Ex-Husbands, the San Sebastian competition title, starring James Norton from director Noah Pritzker.

The pic follows Peter Pearce, a man floundering after his father leaves his mother after 65 years of marriage and his wife (Rosanna Arquette) leaves him after 35. With his son Nick’s wedding on the horizon, Peter plans a getaway to Tulum, claiming to have had no idea that his sons and their friends would be there that very weekend for Nick’s bachelor party. Synopsis reads: The Pearce boys grapple with their own heartaches and question the role of the family as their father makes an unexpected appearance in the Yucatán.

Alongside Norton, the cast includes Griffin Dunne, Miles Heizer, Rosanna Arquette, Eisa Davis, Richard Benjamin, John Ventimiglia, Pedro Fontaine, Lou Taylor Pucci, Simon Van Buyten, Ian Owens, Echo Kellum, Rachel-Zeiger-Haag, Zora Casebere, and Nate Mann. Dunne also serves as exec producer. Bruce Cohen, Alexandra Byer, and Nicolas Celis are producers.

Ex-husbands is Pritzker’s second feature. In 2012, he directed the short film Little Dad, which premiered at SXSW, where he also took his first feature, Quitters, in 2015. In 2017, he returned to shorts with Approaching a Breakthrough, starring Kieran Culkin, which premiered at the Tribeca Festival.

“Ex-Husbands is the story of a man stripped bare, who for the last four decades has seen himself as Maria’s husband, Nick and Mickey’s father, and Simon and Eunice’s son. Who is Peter now that his parents are gone, his wife has left him, and his kids have grown up?” Pritzker said of the pic.
