Damn. I had a video based on Walking Dead blow up on my channel and this is on sale and i was considering picking it up for another zombie-based video but… I’ll buy something else.
Even ignoring the obvious issues with Tencent; Adding Microtransactions later is my least favorite thing and feels like skewing review numbers. I wouldn’t have bought, say, Crash Team Racing if i knew a month later every time I played I’d be hounded to give them a bloody monthly subscription pass “or else you wont get this cool stuff!” every time i finish a race.
2023 gaming is gross. I just played through Driver San Francisco and it reminded me of how good games used to be. Cars unlock naturally, in-game currency can only be earned not bought with real money, super creative gameplay mechanics and an insanely good story.
