Sunil Grover shares a happy memory with Shah Rukh Khan. The duo starred together in the block buster film Jawan.
Sunil Grover who played one of the antagonists in Jawan is currently basking in it’s success as the film turned out to be a blockbuster. The actor shared screen space with the one and only Shah Rukh Khan for the same. Post the film’s success meet, the Sunil and Shah Rukh posed for a happy picture, which has gone viral now.
Sunil shared the photo and wrote, “Can I say ‘chilling with the King khan’ for this picture.” In the photo, Shah Rukh and Sunil both twinned in black formal attires. The photo instantly went viral garnering attention from fans and well wishers. Former crickter Harbhajan Singh took to the comments section and wrote, “Two top actors ❤️❤️,” and “And my favourites ❤️❤️”. Richa Chadha on the other hand wrote, “Lucky u.”

Speaking of Jawan, the Atlee directorial which also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Deepika Padukone, has been shattering records since its release. In just 10 days, Jawan has collected over Rs 400 crores in India alone. As per early estimates, the total box office collection of Jawan so far is Rs 440.48 crore.
As per a report by box office tracker Sacnilk.com, Jawan earned an estimate of Rs 31.50 Cr net India on Saturday (day 10) in India. The overall occupancy for the Hindi version of the film stood at 37.29%, with most footfall witnessed in the evening and night shows. High collections were recorded in Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, and NCR. The Tamil version had an overall occupancy of 33.51%.
Atlee confirmed that Jawan’s budget was over Rs 300 crores. “I narrated the film on a Zoom call during Covid times. I know theatrical footfall was going down and people were not ready to greenlight even a 30-40 crore film. I know because I am also a producer. But sir [Shah Rukh Khan] greenlighted a Rs 300 cr film when everyone was skeptical. But we didn’t stop at Rs 300 cr. We went more. We made a blockbuster in three days and now, we are flying,” he said at the Jawan success press meet.
Jawan has been receiving support from fans and stars across the country. From Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar to Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh, the film has impressed all. Jawan revolves around a vigilante out to seek revenge from corrupt ministers and a businessman because of whom, women landed in jail. The film features Shah Rukh Khan in a double role — a soldier named Vikram Rathore and his son, a jailer, named Azad. Deepika and Nayanthara play his respective love interests in the film. Jawan’s ending has teased the possibility of a sequel.
