Deepika Padukone BREAKS Silence on Social Media Trolls: ‘It Doesn’t Exist…’

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone opened up about the social media trolling she is subjected to. It is no secret that, like many stars in the industry, Deepika is also subjected to social media trolling. From being trolled for her looks to her statements in interviews, trolls take to platforms like X (previously known as Twitter), Reddit and Instagram to target her. However, in a new interview, Deepika has said she often doesn’t know she is being trolled.

Speaking with The Week, as shared by his fanclub Team DP Malaysia, Deepika confessed she doesn’t have the ’emotional bandwidth’ to deal with trolls. “Half the time I don’t know I am being trolled. It doesn’t exist in my emotional bandwidth. My work doesn’t get affected because I have laser focus. I don’t have the bandwidth to focus on the menial or the trivial.”

Although Deepika gets trolled for various things, her airport style is always on point and it never fails to impress the internet. Weighing in on her airport looks, Deepika said, “Nobody wakes up looking gorgeous. I have a professional who puts together my looks for me. But I don’t do it because I know there will be paparazzi photographers in places; I just like to dress up. I feel good when I look good and I enjoy getting ready. Ranveer loves that I enjoy getting dressed up, too. But to be honest, I dress for myself. Anything related to fashion and Deepika Padukone exists because I love clothes. I love planning looks, I give my stylists time and I am open to trying out new things. I love myself as a clotheshorse. Let’s not forget I was a professional model.”

Deepika Padukone has a lot going on for her on the work front. She will be seen in Fighter, in which she will shared the screen with Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor; Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas; and a Hollywood film, among many others.
