Season 2 of Heartstopper is right around the corner, and Netflix has given eager fans a first look at what awaits.
Netflix released the opening scene from Season 2 during the streamer’s fan event in São Paulo, Brazil. In the clip, which is about 90 seconds long, Charlie (Joe Locke) wakes up to a message from his now official boyfriend, Nick (Kit Connor). With a smile, Charlie begins to get ready for school as the pair exchange some cheeky messages.
When he arrives, he’s surprised by Nick, who approaches him from behind and covers his eyes as Charlie stands in the doorway to the classroom.

Produced out of the UK, the show’s Season 1 was a runaway success for Netflix and has already been commissioned for two more seasons. The coming-of-age romantic comedy drama follows Charlie and Nick, who meet at secondary school and quickly discover that their unlikely friendship is blossoming into an unexpected romance.
Season 2 will see the pair reprise their roles alongside the likes of Stephen Fry, Olivia Colman and Yasmin Finney. Creator Alice Oseman returns for Seasons 2 and 3 and See-Saw Films is producer.
