Ever since its launch in September of 2019, Disney+ has been the undisputed home of Marvel.
Despite advertising itself is place to watch every MCU film in chronological order, however, the streaming service has had some glaring omissions in its Marvel timeline.
While recent Spider-Man releases “Far From Home” and “No Way Home” continue to be unavailable, Disney has now added one of Marvel’s seminal films- 2008’s “The Incredible Hulk”.
Remember ‘The Incredible Hulk’?
For those who don’t remember, “The Incredible Hulk” was released the same year that “Iron Man” kicked off the MCU.
The film starred Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, a scientist desperately looking for a cure to the gamma radiation inside of him. Because of the poison in his cells, Banner can transform into an entity of unbridled force and rage- The Hulk.
In the film, Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross, who seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power.
While “The Incredible Hulk” is largely forgotten by Marvel fans, and Edward Norton would eventually cede the role to Mark Ruffalo, the film is still an important chapter in Marvel cannon.
Recently, “Incredible Hulk” antagonist Abomination reappeared in “She Hulk: Attorney at Law”, additionally, Thunderbolt Ross and Banner’s love interest Betty Ross are set to return in “Captain America: Brave New World”.
Watch It Now
So, if you are looking to re-watch the MCU in chronological order, or perhaps, you have never seen “The Incredible Hulk”, now is your chance.
“The Incredible Hulk” is now streaming on Disney+.
