If you were waiting for something wild and really bloody, then this is exactly what awaits you in the seventh episode of this show. But wasn’t there enough of that in the last episode? Not for this show! In this episode viewers will finally see the reunion of the Yellowjackets team and what awaits them next. Sooner or later, all the secrets will come out because you can’t hide from the past forever. But the audience is interested in the most important question — what mysterious forces are influencing our main characters? It seems that the answer is so close, but you may be mistaken to believe this. After all, this show is so unpredictable that you should not expect the solution to be simple. Let’s take a look at what’s going on with the Yellowjackets in this episode.
WHAT IS CALLING OUT TO YOU?
After our heroines finally get together, the audience realizes that each of them needs this reunion. It seems that this wellness center is exactly where they will be able to overcome their fears and confess their worst sins. But will it be that easy? Definitely not as easy as it seems. Lottie offers each of them the chance to undergo a certain therapy, which they can choose themselves. But they are all skeptical and do not believe in the power of therapy. Natalie asks them to trust this place and believe in themselves. After all, quite recently she was in their place, and also did not believe that she would get better. Natalie tells them that it was Lottie who saved her from suicide and helped her cope with problems.
Not everyone agrees (especially Van) with Natalie and Lottie, but each of them chooses one or another method that is relevant to them at the moment. Shauna chooses self care and thinks she can relax and take some kind of soothing bath or something like that but therapy is not about that at all. She will have to look after a baby goat and take care of it. Shauna just can’t believe what she’s hearing and doesn’t want to do it. But a member of the community explains to her that she needs to do this. Shauna tries to complete this task, but fails miserably. She loses the baby goat and just can’t believe that she can’t complete even such a simple task.
Shauna meets Misty, who is also not thrilled with her therapy — guidance. She helps Shauna in the search but says that she also does not believe in her own therapy method. Shauna does not understand the principle of this therapy, because she is sure that then she will have to kill this baby goat (but is it so?). Misty suggests that Shauna take it easier and jokes about Adam’s murder. After all, she killed him so easily?! Shauna asks Misty not to joke about this topic and says that for her, murder is not a joke like for Misty. Misty doesn’t understand what it’s about. Shauna explains to her that Misty has always been a little out of her mind (and that’s an understatement!).
Shauna finds the baby goat and goes to Lottie because she can’t complete this task. Misty doesn’t understand why everyone is calling her a murderer! Shauna tells Lottie that she can’t kill this baby goat and this task is impossible for her. But Lottie says that it is not necessary to kill him, but only to look after and take care of him. Shauna breaks down and tells Lottie about her relationship with her daughter. She says that she has always been on the sidelines and tried not to get attached to her daughter. She convinced herself that this was normal. But only now she realized that something is wrong with her and she wants to fix it. Does the treatment method seem to have worked on Shauna?
Misty returns to her treatment method, but is still not sure that she needs it. She must know her inner wisdom and hear her inner voice. To do this, it must be immersed in a water tank, which must be closed from the inside. Misty is sure that there is a catch in this method of treatment. Lisa convinces her that the tank is not locked and no one will enter here. She just has to trust herself and immerse herself in her thoughts. Misty relaxes and goes deep into her visions. She sees Walter and her parrot in human form (WOW!).
Misty asks him if she is a murderer and that she is very worried about it. Her parrot calms her down and says that she is much better than she thinks and deserves only the best. Misty comes to her senses and realizes what she wants. She secretly calls Walter and says he was right about her. Misty asks him for forgiveness and says she misses him. Had she found true love? While Misty and Shauna are dealing with their problems, Taissa is also trying to figure out what to do next. She chooses renewal and tries to follow this path. But she quickly gives up and asks Lottie to help her. After all, she does not know what to do and how to cope with all the problems.
Lottie asks Taissa what kind of problems are bothering her. She tells Lottie that she is walking in her sleep again and her other side (the bad other half) is increasingly coming out. She is afraid that she will harm others. Lottie convinces Taissa that her other self is inseparable from her and she will never be able to get rid of it. She tries to tell Taissa that maybe her other self is trying to show her something and somehow help her solve her problems. Maybe Taissa’s second self isn’t so bad?
Taissa tries to accept herself and sees Van, with whom something is clearly happening. Van drinks alcohol and says that she chose to forage and that’s what she’s doing now. This is her method of therapy. Taissa can’t believe they’re in this place right now and undergoing this therapy or something like that. It is clear that Van and Taissa are attracted to each other and they can’t resist this feeling. But they come to their senses in time and Taissa says that she is not ready for this yet.
Van says she doesn’t have that much time. Taissa doesn’t understand what it’s about. Then Van says that she has cancer and the disease is progressing (she has a couple of months!). Taissa doesn’t understand how Van didn’t tell her about this. Van asks to be quiet about this and not to say anything to anyone. Their conversation is interrupted by Shauna, Misty and Natalie. Natalie wants them to get together and share everything that happened during the day. Will they be able to open up to each other?
IT’S JUST TIME TO MOVE ON…
While our heroines are trying to cope with their problems in the present, no less important events are unfolding in the woods. The Yellowjackets are still trying to recover from what happened to Shauna’s baby. Time seems to have frozen for everyone. It’s snowing incessantly outside and no one even thinks to leave the cabin (the door is covered with snow!). Taissa tries to persuade Shauna to at least drink some water but Shauna refuses to do that too. Shauna is still not herself and spends all her days next to a dead child (it’s terrible!). Everyone is lost in their thoughts, but then Lottie informs them that the snow is over.
They all try to open the door and they succeed. They’re finally getting out into the fresh air! Taissa offers to take Shauna for a walk but she is adamant and does not want to see or hear anyone. Everyone is busy with their own affairs. Misty is also trying to keep herself occupied so as not to think about Crystal. And then she hears the conversation of other girls (Mari, Akilah and others) about her. They all say that Misty did an amazing job at Shauna’s birth and behaved very confidently. Misty smiles and understands that she is respected. But is it so? Then the conversation turns to the fact that they think Misty is psychotic and the way she behaved during childbirth is a direct confirmation of that.
They talk about Crystal and that Misty is acting weird, they think maybe Misty killed her. Otherwise, she would have been looking for her friend for a long time. Misty overhears everything and decides to act. Taissa and Van enjoy the fresh air and talk about how since they started going to Lottie’s circle it has become much easier for them. Taissa says that it was Van who convinced her that she needed it. Van is happy for Taissa but she begins to doubt that their little cult has any meaning. Van wants to understand why she is still alive (after all the events) and what her purpose is. Taissa says that Van helped Taissa understand that she was connected to this place and helped her cope with her problems. Maybe that’s her purpose here?
At this time, Coach Ben is getting deeper into his thoughts and visions. He sees his lover more and more often and continues to communicate with him. But, unexpectedly, he asks Ben not to come to this place anymore and that he can’t hide here forever. He leaves and says the time has come! Ben tries to stop Paul and shouts after him. Taissa and Van are amazed at what they hear and ask if he is okay. Ben pretends that everything is fine with him. But is it so? Misty is determined to find her friend Crystal (even though she knows she’s dead!). She makes a speech in front of everyone and convinces them to go look for Crystal before it’s too late.
Coach Ben supports her and says that he will also help in her search. He seems to have woken up from a dream. But what really drives him? A lot of people from the team go in search of Crystal and try to find her. Misty is desperate and makes the most effort to find her. But Misty isn’t sure she can handle it. Many of the team say that perhaps the death of Shauna’s child was a sacrifice for the wilderness. And that maybe Crystal is also dead and she became the second victim of the woods. Everyone believes that if they have made so many sacrifices, then the wilderness will certainly reward them. Lottie says it doesn’t work that way. Misty pretends that she can’t cope with Crystal’s death in any way (after all, she failed to save Shauna’s child).
Akilah and Mari say they can manage without her and move on. But Misty intends to find Crystal first because she knows the exact place. Misty goes down the cliff but does not find Crystal’s body there. So where is the body? In desperation, she goes up the cliff and sees how Coach Ben wants to take his own life. He asks Misty to push him, but she doesn’t want to do it. She tells Ben that she will tell everyone that he was gay and will generally say nasty things about him.
Ben doesn’t care and he’s ready to jump off. Misty cries and says she can’t stand another death. Ben moves away from the edge of the cliff. What will happen to him next? While the Yellowjackets are looking for Crystal, Shauna is trying to find a secluded place to be alone with her grief. She wants to bury her child and finds a place for him. Then she goes to the barn and tries to talk to Jackie. She begs her to talk to her, because she needs her support so much. Shauna is crying and can’t come to her senses. How does she deal with all this?
IT’S ALL LIKE A TERRIBLE DREAM…
At the end of the series events take an unexpected turn. You might wonder what could get worse? Viewers are shown two time lines and as it were compared them with each other. But what will the audience see? The adult heroines get together and Natalie tries to convince them to share their impressions. Van treats everyone to a drink. Natalie says they should all get rid of what’s eating them, and it will make them feel better. She asks Shauna to start. Shauna says they’ve already started sharing with each other. She suggests that Natalie stop lecturing them and just relax and chat with them as friends. Natalie agrees and it seems that everything is fine.
At the same time, Lottie is talking to her doctor. She says that they all came together for a reason, something brought them to this place. Apparently, some unknown forces. And she is very afraid of this reunion because when they are together people suffer. But in response, Lottie hears that she needs it and that she should not be afraid of it. Lottie does not believe what she hears and a vision from the past appears before her — the same force that controlled them in the woods. She tries to understand what is going on and discovers that all this time she was alone in the room and was communicating with something otherworldly. Lottie tries to recover and sees her friends having a good time. She decides to go to them.
They dance, drink, and laugh. Natalie asks Misty about Walter, and Misty tells everyone that Natalie was sleeping with Kevyn. They share the most intimate things. Natalie asks everyone what they remember about those events in the woods. Everyone admits that they don’t remember everything or just try to hide it deeper. Lottie says it’s natural, but sooner or later it all comes out. Van hears a familiar song and invites everyone to dance. Suddenly it starts snowing and they all go outside. They continue to enjoy this moment. But suddenly their fun is interrupted by an important call to Shauna. Jeff informs her that it looks like the police have found Adam’s body and everything is not so rosy for her. What will Shauna do?
In the woods our teenage heroines have another starting point when everything goes awry again. It’s like a terrible dream. But, unfortunately, this is not a dream! Shauna returns after having another nervous breakdown. She’s clearly not herself. She hears the song Misty is humming and she gets furious. She asks Misty where she heard this song (it sounds like the song that Shauna heard in her nightmare!), Misty says that Crystal sang it. Shauna attacks Misty in a rage and blames her for the death of her child.
Natalie and everyone else are trying to protect Misty. But Shauna screams and blames everyone around! She says she saw them eating her baby. Taissa asks Shauna to come to her senses, because she sounds like a nut. And then Lottie appears in front of Shauna. She asks her to take out all this anger on her so she can get rid of it. Shauna does not wait and starts beating Lottie furiously. Shauna hits her until Lottie’s face turns into a bloody mess.
Everyone is in shock and the picture is simply terrifying! Shauna finally stops and sees what she’s done. She calls out to Lottie, and despite the beatings, she comes to her senses. Shauna runs outside, the others try to help Lottie. Will Shauna come to her senses and what will happen to Lottie? And what awaits our main characters next? We’ll find out in the next episode. The season finale is very close! And this series will definitely surprise the audience again, so be prepared.
