Gisele Bündchen Reflects on Life ‘Trials’ 6 Months After Divorce From Tom Brady

Gisele Bündchen has learned a lot over the past six months.

Following her divorce from Tom Brady in October 2022, Bündchen is taking the time to “enjoy the good moments” in life and “learn from the bad ones,” and she suggests you do the same. On April 15, she got philosophical in the caption of a sunny Instagram video featuring the 42-year-old supermodel on a scenic bike ride.

“We all have our fair shares of trials,” Bündchen wrote. “Every laugh, every fall, every experience, the good and the bad, everything is here to teach us something and help us grow. Nothing is permanent. So let’s enjoy the good moments and learn from the bad ones. Every day is a gift!”

In late March, Gisele Bündchen opened up about ending her 13-year marriage to the former NFL player in a candid interview with Vanity Fair. “It’s tough because you imagine your life was going to be a certain way, and you did everything you could, you know?” Bündchen said. “You give everything you got to achieve your dream. You give a hundred percent of yourself, and it’s heartbreaking when it doesn’t end up the way you hoped for, and worked for, but you can only do your part.”

While the former couple was still married, the model publically expressed her desire for Brady to be “more present” as a father in an interview with Elle Magazine that was published in September 2022. Brady shares his 15-year-old son Jack with his ex, Bridget Moynahan, and two children with Bündchen: 13-year-old Benjamin and 10-year-old Vivian.

According to Bündchen, their relationship was breaking down even before he changed his mind about retiring from football in 2022. “Sometimes you grow together; sometimes you grow apart,” she said. “As time goes by, we realize that we just wanted different things, and now we have a choice to make. That doesn’t mean you don’t love the person. It just means that in order for you to be authentic and truly live the life that you want to live, you have to have somebody who can meet you in the middle, right? It’s a dance. It’s a balance.”
