Jackson Wild Executive Director Lisa Samford is stepping away from her role

Sharing this letter from Lisa Samford, Executive Director of Jackson Wild.

Warm greetings to all,

After 20 wonderful years leading Jackson Wild, I will be stepping away from my role as Executive Director following this year’s Summit in Jackson Hole.

I have spent a lot of time reflecting on what we have accomplished over the years, with a sense of wonder. Together, we have created innovative global partnerships, accelerated the amplification of underrepresented and inclusive perspectives, elevated impact-driven storytelling, and are building world-class professional pipelines for early-career climate, conservation and nature filmmakers.

I feel honored to have witnessed such amazing transformation in the global community we have grown, and am deeply grateful for the relationships and partnerships that have developed in the process. To say that this has been a privilege is a huge understatement. Thank you.

I am working closely with Bill Gardner and the Executive Committee of the Board as I begin my transition away from the role of Executive Director. Day to day operations will be led by Christie Quinn and Melanie Judd, who have the deep knowledge and experience necessary to keep our operations running seamlessly.

The board will begin a search for my replacement in the coming months. If you, or someone you know may be interested in this tremendously rewarding role, please reach out to [email protected]

I am eager to see you all, in person, in Jackson at the Summit–it will be a brilliant gathering and a long awaited return to our home in the Tetons. Thank you for your support, partnership, and friendship through the years. It has been an immensely fulfilling journey.

Sincerely,
