‘Scooby-Doo & Krypto Too!’ Leaked Online After Being Scrapped For Tax Cut

Scooby-Doo! Where Are you? Well, if you’re talking about the cancelled Scooby/DC crossover film Scooby-Doo & Krypto Too!, then all you have to do is look online, as the scrapped film has been leaked online, in its entirety.

Recently, pieces of footage leaked online from the film, which got people buzzing about it and added fuel to the already burning rage that many have for Warner Bros. Discovery in the wake of them cancelling several projects, reportedly for tax write-off purposes. This included other Scooby-Doo projects, such as the Scooby-Doo & the Mystery Pups, Scoob! Holiday Haunt, and Scooby-Doo & the Haunted High Rise, which featured the fan-favorite Hex Girls.

This also isn’t the first DC project to get shelved like this, as the highly anticipated Batgirl film, starring Leslie Grace and Brendan Fraser, was cancelled for a tax write-off while in post-production, as well as the planned Wonder Twins movie. And while WBD’s President and CEO David Zaslav claimed they were done purging content for the time being, it seems they’re up to their old tricks, which is very disappointing.

Scooby-Doo & Krypto Too! would see yet another crossover with DC Comics, partnering the two titular pups for some always wonderful hijinks as they investigate the disappearance of the Justice League. The film was originally slated for release on September 25, 2023 and stars Frank Welker, Grey DeLisle, Matthew Lillard, Kate Micucci, P.J. Byrne, Victoria Grace, Charles Halford, Nolan North, Tara Strong, Fred Tatasciore, James Arnold Taylor, and Niccole Thurman.

It’s unclear how the film was leaked online, or how it will affect WBD’s tax write-off status, but for fans this was a blessing as they got the chance to see the film, and it’s being praised by many. Will this cause WBD to rethink their position on cancelling films like this, especially ones that are finished or near-finished? Will we see more of these tax write-off films get leaked? Only time will tell.
