Hollywoodâs biggest names all descended upon London this weekend for the BAFTA Film Awards. Britainâs most prestigious award show is often seen as a mirror to the Oscars, and the results can sometimes be used to predict the winners at next monthâs Academy Awards.
âAll Quiet on the Western Frontâ set a BAFTAs record with 14 nominations, while âEverything Everywhere All at Onceâ and âThe Banshees of Inisherinâ each scored 10 nominations a piece. âElvisâ and âTĂRâ were close behind with nine and five nominations, respectively.
The high profile list of nominees ensured that virtually all of the yearâs biggest movie stars would be in attendance, and they all put on their Sunday best for the red carpet. There wonât be this much Hollywood glamour in one room again until the Oscars.
