Brazilian soccer legend Pelé died at 82. His daughter Kely Nascimento announced the news in an Instagram post, writing, “Everything that we are, is thanks to you. We love you infinitely. Rest in peace.” Pelé had been hospitalized in São Paulo for a respiratory infection and for complications related to colon cancer. Prior to his passing, the hospital said his health had worsened as his cancer progressed.
