Even if you’ve been hiding under a rock (which I totally get because life gets a bit overwhelming at times), you’ve no doubt heard about Netflix’s Heartbreak High — which is a reboot of the beloved Australian ’90s classic of the same name.
It even became a hit worldwide, spending three weeks in the global top 10 TV shows on Netflix and amassing several hilarious TikToks of Americans trying (and failing) to decipher Aussie slang.
It’s no surprise that fans were demanding a Season 2 and, well, Netflix has granted us our wish by officially confirming that we’ll be getting one.
And, like, hold on, I need a second because this is bloody exciting news.
This means we’ll be getting more of Ca$h and Darren’s relationship (which will hopefully involve exploring Ca$h’s asexuality), more of Quinni being the absolute best, more of Amerie being the relatable queen that she is and more of Malakai stealing our hearts.
Hopefully, there’ll also be room to explore other characters that didn’t get as much screen time in Season 1, like Missy who absolutely needs her own episode.
Plus, this would be such a fantastic opportunity to introduce more body diversity into the series through new characters.
Personally, I’m already counting down the days until Season 2 of Heartbreak High is released on Netflix.
