Marvel is expanding the world of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man with a new comic book series coming early and prepping fans for the animated show’s second season.
The four-issue series will connect the events of the first season with the upcoming episodes, which are expected to stream on Disney+ in early 2027.

Along the way, the comic will introduce several classic Spider-Man villains to this animated universe.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man offers a fresh take on Peter Parker’s early journey as a superhero while honoring the look and spirit of his original comic book adventures.
Peter continues to protect the city, one thwip at a time, but his personal life is becoming more complicated. He has started drifting away from his friends, while trouble appears to be brewing at Oscorp.
Norman Osborn may have stepped away from the spider business, but Harry Osborn suspects continued trouble. Peter and his friends must uncover what is happening inside Oscorp before the threat grows.
The Creative Team Returns
Writer Christos Gage and artist Eric Gapstur will return for the new series. Gage previously worked with showrunner Jeff Trammell to ensure the comic fits within the show’s official continuity.
The writer also teased appearances by Daredevil and classic Spider-Man villains making their debuts in this version of Peter Parker’s story.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1 will be released on December 9, 2026. Leonardo Romero created the main cover, while Luciano Vecchio and David Baldeón contributed additional covers. Two more cover artists have yet to be announced.
The first season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is now streaming on Disney+.
