Gone are the days of the rom-com drought and we have streaming to thank for that. While it’s not the best rom-com of 2026 — that award goes to People We Meet on Vacation or Voicemails for Isabelle — The Love Hypothesis is a solid, fun, and hilarious addition to what has been an exceptional year for the genre. Led by Lili Reinhart, Tom Bateman, and rising star Rachel Marsh, this romance flick set in the biology department at Stanford checks all the boxes for lovers of the fake dating trope. And dare I also say that it makes science look kind of sexy?!
