“Did I have any doubts about playing Misty, being a British actress? Yeah, of course. I mean, I would be lying if I said I didn’t, but I think the point of an actor is that you’re able to play different people. That’s the definition of being an actor, someone that has a different context to you, that has had a different upbringing to you. But this character… I don’t know, I sometimes find it hard to articulate exactly what it is, but I wanted to express something with Misty. Chris has written a part for a woman that is fearlessly written — she’s a complicated, contradictory, self-destructive woman — and it was going to be a massive challenge.
