Spider-Man: Brand New Day will once again top the box office this weekend as its five-week stranglehold on theaters continues.
Released on July 31, Brand New Day picks up Peter Parker’s story after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

“Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city as a full-time Spider-Man. But as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced,” the film’s logline reads.

Since Brand New Day hit theaters, the film has been nothing short of a blockbuster. After delivering the biggest North American opening ever, the movie has continued to make history.
Brand New Day’s Blockbuster Run
The last time we checked in, Spider-Man: Brand New Day had surpassed $2.3 billion at the worldwide box office.

That was good enough to pass Titanic ($2.264 billion) and Ne Zha 2 ($2.27 billion) on the all-time box office rankings.

Another Win
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will once again top the global box office, adding another $18 million to its domestic haul.

During the week, Brand New Day saw its North American cume rise to $858.4 million.
That was good enough to surpass Avengers: Endgame and make Brand New Day the highest-grossing Marvel movie ever at the domestic box office.

The film now sits just $120 million behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is the highest-grossing film ever in North America.
